Badam Halwa


Ingredients:

1 cup - almonds
2 ½ cups - sugar
2 cups - ghee
1 pinch - kesar(saffron)

Method:


Soak almonds in a bowl with boiling water.
Remove the skin of almonds and make fine paste by grinding them in a grinder.
Boil sugar with one cup of water in a pan.
Boil till it turns into syrup.Add almonds paste to the boiling syrup and mix it well.
Make a solution of kesar powder in little water and add to the syrup.Instantly mix one cup ghee
As the above mixture turns paste-like, pour the remaining ghee gradually.
A batter like mixture will be formed after sometime.Now remove it from the flame.
Badam halwa is ready to serve

Carrot Halwa

ingridents:

Carrots (or) Beets (grated coarsely) 1 cup
Sugar 3/4 cup
Milk 2 1/2 cup
Cardamom seeds a pinch
Cashew nuts(halved)
Ghee 1/2 cup

method:

Mix carrots (or) beets with sugar & milk and cook for 30 minutes over low heat, until it becomes thick.
Add cardamoms, cashew nuts & ghee and stir constantly, until it becomes thick.
Spread the mixture in a greased tray & leave it to cool for 30 minutes.
Then cut into squares.

Jalebi

Ingredients:-

For sugar syrup:-

Sugar 2cups
Water 2cup

Method:-

Mix sugar and water in the slow flame.
Sugar syrup should be thick in consistency.

For batter:-

Maida 2cups
Water 1cup
Soda a pinch

Method:-

Mix the batter and keep for a soak overnight.
Next day while preparing put the batter in Jalebi cloth.
Make Jalebi in hot oil or ghee and fry.
Lastly soak the Jalebi in sugar syrup.
Serve hot.

Sandesh

Ingredients:-

Paneer 1/2cup
Powdered sugar 1/2tsp
Cardimum little

Method:-

Prepare paneer in a usual way.
Kneed the paneer well with the sugar.
Add crust cardimum and shape as desire.
Sprinkle finely chopped cashew, badam and pista.
Freeze and serve cold.
